How To Optimize Your Instagram For Business

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Do you ever wonder how to optimize your Instagram for business?

Getting your profile set up properly is the first step to getting traction (and followers) on your account.

Consider why you think people should follow you. What’s in it for them? What do you have to offer? How can you make their life better?

Now think about how you use Instagram. Do you follow accounts that don’t have a profile photo set? How about accounts that have cryptic messages in their bio?

An issue that I see time and time again in my marketing coaching sessions is that the business hasn’t given other people a REASON for them to hit the follow button.

When you show up with value, and communicate what you can offer quickly, people will be able to make a decision quickly on whether they want to hear more from you.

Work through the following strategies and learn how to optimize your Instagram for business:[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][heading4]1. Add a photo of yourself that has a tight crop on your face.[/heading4][vc_column_text]

Ditch the logo for the profile pic. People connect with (and buy from) other PEOPLE, not faceless brands. Showing the face behind the business helps to humanize your brand, and build trust with your target audience.

[/vc_column_text][heading4]2. Update your name field to include keywords relevant to your niche.[/heading4][vc_column_text]

Consider this question – what would your ideal clients be searching for? This is one of the top fields that Instagram considers when people complete searches on the app.

[/vc_column_text][heading4]3. Update your bio with even more keywords![/heading4][vc_column_text]Make sure to include what you do, who you serve, and add a call to action.[/vc_column_text][heading4]4. Update your profile category.[/heading4][vc_column_text]This categorization should list what type of business / service provider you are.[/vc_column_text][heading4]5. Update your links.[/heading4][vc_column_text]Add your website, email, and contact options to the sections listed in “Edit Profile.”[/vc_column_text][heading4]6. Add story highlights.[/heading4][vc_column_text]Story highlights can be a super helpful asset for people that are visiting your profile for the first time. Use them with branded covers to display a snapshot of your best work, how to get in touch with you, testimonials, and more.[/vc_column_text][heading4]7. Consistently create valuable content.[/heading4][vc_column_text]Create content that your target audience would find valuable. Educate, entertain, and inspire. Leverage a mix of photo posts, Reels, carousels, videos, and IGTVs.
