Iconography Design Details That Set Your Brand Apart From Competitors

For the past few weeks, I have been working with one of my clients on revamping their website.

This particular client is a music licensing company that works with high end brands to place music and sound in commercials. It’s pretty awesome!

Their mission with this project is to assert themselves as a premier collaborator within this realm, as well position the brand to work with some of the most talented composers in the biz.

One of the strategies that we are using to make that happen is through custom, hand-drawn iconography design.

Here are some of the icons that I created for this project:

Iconography design can play a key role in creating a strong, recognizable brand.

Why?

✨ Humans are naturally drawn to imagery. Adding icons to your designs can help to guide the eye where you want it to look.

✨ When used effectively, can highlight the main points of a design. This allows the audience to grasp the brand’s message quickly.

✨ Icons can help you to stand out amongst your competition.

✨ They are versatile, and can be used throughout many of the brand’s promotional materials.

Ultimately – these details can impact how your brand is perceived.

While stock icons can be helpful for some purposes, custom icons give you that extra edge. It’s the kind of thing that says you went the extra mile to make sure that your brand stands apart from the competition.

What style icons do you use in your brand?

Are they more playful or serious?

Do they look hand drawn or more geometric?

There are so many different styles that you could implement. In order to market effectively, you’ll need to create an iconography set that resonates with your target audience.

If you need help elevating your brand materials, I’d love to help you with that. Get in touch with me about your branding project today!
